Design and development is a process (and its documentation) that uses resources; transforming input requirements into specific output requirements.

Ensuring that the most current version is in use by issuing a document with a reference and issue number so that the correct version of the document is used at all times.

System of Software used to track and store documents. It is capable of keeping track of the different versions modified by different users.

Documented information refers to the controlled and maintained information and maintained. It can be in any format and on any medium and can come from most any source.  Typically, Documented information includes data about the management system and related processes.
